Michael Keaton is an American actor, producer and director who is most well-known for his role in the film 'Birdman. He is a versatile actor who has the ability to perform both comic as well as dramatic roles. His professional career has seen him has appeared in a variety of roles in romantic scenes and played in action films. His interest in the performing arts started at the age of teen. He attempted stand-up comedy in his early 20s. He had a failed comedy career however this set the way for his career as an actor. In order to succeed as a comic and performer, he was hired working as a cameraman for a local cable television station. He discovered that his primary interest was front of the camera while he worked at the station. After a couple of episodes on Mister Rogers Neighborhood, he was able to get an appearance on television. His natural talent as an actor earned him a lot of attention on the world of television. When he began his film career, he had high aspirations and gained acclaim for his comic characters. Additional recognition was received as he played Batman's own character in Tim Burton's Batman. He grew as an actor over time and ventured into the direction and production worlds. The role he played in Birdman in 2014's Birdman earned him several nominations and awards.
